The Plays Like Distances feature on the H50 adjusts yardages to reflect how a shot will actually play based on elevation changes.
What Are Plays Like Distances?
When this feature is turned on, every distance shown on the device is adjusted for slope. This means the number you see is not just the straight-line distance, but the effective distance you should play.
For example:
If you have 200 yards to the green but the shot is downhill, it may play like 180 yards
In this case, you would choose a club you typically hit 180 yards, rather than one you hit 200 yards
Similarly:
Uphill shots will play longer than the actual distance
Downhill shots will play shorter
Why Use Plays Like Distances?
This feature helps you make better club selections by accounting for elevation changes that affect how far the ball travels.
Instead of estimating how slope impacts your shot, the H50 does the calculation for you.
Turning Plays Like Distances On or Off
Open the Shot Scope app
Go to Settings
Select Play
Find Plays Like Distances
Use the On/Off toggle to enable or disable the feature
Tap Save at the bottom of the screen
Important Note
The use of slope-adjusted distances may not be permitted in some competitions. You can turn this setting off at any time if required.
